This is my wedding ring. We picked it out at the PX in Massachusetts, after he was discharged from the Army, and before he left for Denver to see his folks. It’s plain white gold. We also picked out an engagement ring which is now in the great beyond, broken. The diamond was replaced on my fortieth birthday, after the original was lost in the garbage disposal. I have not taken off the wedding ring since my wedding day, fifty-one years ago. It’s part of me, my life, my stuff.

Thank you, I didn’t expect that. I just like the idea. I dont have many material things around me anymore that mean much.
